Popular questions
- Add a songSign in, open Add song and choose an audio or video file from your device, or drop it on the page. Jam uploads it, then separates and analyses it automatically.
- Supported files and limitsJam accepts MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG and AIFF audio, and WEBM, MP4, M4V, MOV and MKV video. Every song can be up to 20 minutes long.
- Use the mixer: mute, solo and adjust partsEach part has Mute, Solo and a volume control at the left of the timeline. Mute a part to take it out, solo it to hear it alone, or set it anywhere from 0% to 150%.
- Change the tempo without changing the keyUse Adjust tempo in the Studio’s footer to play a song anywhere from 0.5× to 2× its speed without changing its key. On a phone, it’s under Settings → Playback.
- Loop a sectionDrag across the timeline to loop a passage; on a touch screen, long-press the timeline or use Create loop. Loop edges snap to the beat, and you can keep several loops at once.
- Can I import from YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music? No. Jam adds songs from audio and video files on your device. It can’t import from YouTube links, Spotify, Apple Music or any other streaming service.
- A song is stuck processingProcessing can take a while when Jam is busy, and it carries on even if you close the page. If it stops with an error, open the song and choose Retry.
- Share a sessionIn the Studio, choose Share session, decide whether to include your recorded clips, then copy the link. Anyone you send it to can open your mix in Jam, even without an account.
- Sign-in code problemsCheck your spam folder, wait a minute before sending a new code, and type the most recent code within an hour. The message on screen tells you which of these is the problem.
