Make a loop

  • With a mouse or trackpad: drag across the timeline over the bars you want.
  • On a touch screen: long-press an empty part of the timeline, or choose Create loop in the footer.

The loop’s edges snap to the nearest half beat, so it lands on the music. Drag an edge to make the loop longer or shorter.

Turn looping on and off

Each loop has a switch: when it’s on, playback goes back to the loop’s start every time it reaches the end. Turn it off to keep the region marked but play straight through.

Several loops

You can mark several passages, as long as they don’t overlap. A loop repeats when playback reaches its end from inside it or from before it.

Clear loops

Use Clear the selection on a loop, or press Esc to clear them all.

Loops last while the song is open. When you share a session, its loop is part of the link (sharing).
