Add a song

Sign in, open Add song and choose an audio or video file from your device, or drop it on the page. Jam uploads it, then separates and analyses it automatically.

Steps

  1. Sign in to Jam. If you don’t have an account yet, the sign-in screen creates a free one (signing in).
  2. Open Add song (opens Jam in a new tab). You can also start from Add a song on the home screen or Upload in library search.
  3. Drop a file on the page, or choose Choose a file. On the Add song page you can pick several files at once.
  4. While the file uploads, you can fill in its title, artist and cover.
  5. When the upload finishes, Jam starts separating the song. You can stay and watch, or leave: it carries on in the background.

Good to know

  • Jam adds songs from files on your device. It can’t import from YouTube or streaming services (why).
  • Songs can be up to 20 minutes long. See supported files and limits for the accepted formats.
  • Only add recordings you have the right to use; see the Terms of Service.
  • Free includes 3 new songs in total, and Jam Plus 20 a month. If you’ve used yours, Jam tells you when you try to add the song (Free and Jam Plus).
  • If a song was shared with you, you don’t need to upload it: open the link and choose Save (shared sessions).
