Songs & imports
Adding songs, supported files and limits, and what happens while Jam processes them.
- Add a songSign in, open Add song and choose an audio or video file from your device, or drop it on the page. Jam uploads it, then separates and analyses it automatically.
- Supported files and limitsJam accepts MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG and AIFF audio, and WEBM, MP4, M4V, MOV and MKV video. Every song can be up to 20 minutes long.
- What happens when Jam processes a song? After the upload, Jam separates the song into six parts and finds its beat, chords, lyrics and vocal melody. Separation shows its progress; the other results appear as they finish.
- Can I import from YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music? No. Jam adds songs from audio and video files on your device. It can’t import from YouTube links, Spotify, Apple Music or any other streaming service.
- Edit a song’s detailsChoose Edit info in a song’s menu, in your library or in the Studio, to change its title, artist or cover. You can also fill these in while the file is still uploading.
- Remove a song from your libraryChoose Remove from library in the song’s menu (Delete in the library on a phone). The song leaves your library and setlists and your takes on it are deleted. The audio file you uploaded is kept with your account.
