A song is stuck processing

Processing can take a while when Jam is busy, and it carries on even if you close the page. If it stops with an error, open the song and choose Retry.

Check what it says

  • Queued or Waiting for processing capacity: Jam is busy. Your song keeps its place in line and starts as soon as there’s room. You can leave the page.
  • Separating instruments with a percentage: it’s working. Longer songs take longer.
  • Processing in the background: the upload is done and the song is being prepared. Open it from your library later.

If it failed

Open the song in the Studio. If separation failed, the Studio shows why and a Retry button, for example: “Separation stopped making progress. Open the song in the Studio and choose Retry.”

If a song has been processing for a long time without progress, Jam stops it automatically and shows an error, so you can retry.

Lyrics or chords missing

If the parts are ready but the lyrics, chords or vocal pitch line aren’t, the Studio says so, for example “Chords could not be transcribed.” or “Pitch could not be analyzed.” The rest of the song works normally. You can’t retry these yourself yet.
