Turn it on
- On a computer: select Count-in in the footer.
- On a phone: open Settings and switch on Count-in under Playback.
Count-in is off until you turn it on. Jam remembers your choice on your account, across devices.
What you hear
Two slower clicks, then one full bar of clicks, ending just before the song’s first downbeat. In 4/4 that’s two clicks two beats apart, then 1-2-3-4.
When it plays
The count-in plays when you start from the beginning of the song, before its first downbeat, including when you start recording there. It doesn’t play:
- when you start from the middle of the song;
- when Jam couldn’t find a steady beat in the song.
