Can I publish or share my recordings?

You can share a session with your takes through a Jam link. Publishing a recording of yourself over a song elsewhere needs the rights to that song: Jam’s terms don’t grant them.

Inside Jam

You can include your takes when you share a session. Remember that anyone with the link can open it.

Outside Jam

A mix you download contains the song’s original recording, and a take of you performing the song still contains its composition. To post either publicly, sell it or distribute it, you need permission from whoever holds the rights it contains: the songwriter or publisher for the composition, and the label or owner for the recording. Jam doesn’t check these rights, and its terms don’t grant them (Terms of Service).

You can publish recordings of your own songs, or of material you have permission to use, within the Terms of Service and any agreement you have with a label, publisher or collaborators.
