Can I use Jam commercially?

You may use Jam’s outputs in your work, but Jam’s terms don’t give you any rights in the songs you process. Commercial use needs the rights to the underlying recording and composition.

What Jam provides

Separated parts, chord charts, lyrics, mixes and other outputs are tools for practice and creation. Using them commercially, for example in a release, a performance recording or teaching material you sell, needs permission from whoever holds the rights in the song and the recording.

What Jam doesn’t provide

  • No licence to any third-party music.
  • No clearance service: Jam doesn’t check or obtain rights for you.
  • No sample packs: outputs can’t be redistributed on their own as samples, loops, a sample library, lyrics or datasets, only as part of a broader work you’re entitled to make.

See the Terms of Service, section 6, for the rules, and who owns my songs and recordings.
